TK: We will continue working on numeration. We are using lots of manipulatives to practice our counting. We will also begin working on our handwriting when we form our numbers. Be sure to count with your child whenever you can! Numbers can be used everywhere!
K: In the afternoons we are continuing to work on our numbers 0-30. We are also using manipulatives to count so that they are aware that one item means one number. There are days where the Kindergarten group will be split so that I can focus on more specific needs of the children. Reading:

The students will be working on developing and perfecting their dnealean handwriting. They are learning how to use their pencil and paper properly, write their names correctly, and form their letters. We have also began our Writer's Workshop. During this time I will be modeling good writing strategies and the students will have time to practice. We will be starting with drawing and labeling our pictures. My goal is to get the students to draw a picture that has meaning or follows a prompt.
